Winter's Cabin

This home is very nice and the location is great but we would not stay here again. While the home is nicely decorated, exactly what you would expect from a luxury property, but there are details that just miss the mark and keep it from being 5 star. The property needs basic ground maintenance and clean up, it is also clear that it has not been deep cleaned in a while. We were not able to take full advantage of the master shower because the shower heads have not been cleaned properly and had calcified. The blinds in the master bedroom were broken, also cobwebs and dust are something I do not expect to find when paying a $250 cleaning fee. Additionally while there is room for a family to stay, it is not really set up for a kids. There are only 2 TVs, which is not always ideal for a family, and the bed in the loft that makes it difficult to sleep without hearing everything. However, our biggest complaint and the reason we would not stay here again is the beds are horrific!! They are the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on. After bringing this to managements attention, I felt a little gaslit when the response was “beds are subjective”. However the master bedroom mattress was manufactured in 2003, a 20 year old mattress is no longer comfortable. It was like sleeping on the hardwood floor, it caused so much pain. The mattress upstairs was like sleeping on a trampoline at a 20 degree angle. For a Luxury property I expect high quality, and this one does not offer that, especially when the other furnishings are high quality.

Quiet and beautiful. A little scary for a single woman since it is so far from town. The place was very very nice. No instructions on how to use the hot tub so could not use it.

My family & I enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely be back.

High-end, well appointed, extremely comfortable vacation home. Great outdoor spaces with wonderful views, wood burning fireplace, great kitchen. The construction and furnishings make this house live up to the designation of luxury rental. We hope to go back!

My family and I spent Thanksgiving here. It was fantastic. I was very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was! They had everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner. The space was spotless and we were all very comfortable staying here. The hosts are very responsive and helped with any questions I had. Staying at this gorgeous cabin made for many amazing memories for my family. I would definitely stay here or at one of their other properties again.

We just spent an amazing 4 nights at Winter’s Cabin and are already planning or next trip! This beautiful cabin felt like home and is perfectly located just outside of Pagosa Springs. The primary bedroom was comfortable and they provided lots of extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen is well stocked and they have anything you might need. Hot tub has a beautiful view and was perfect after skiing for the day. Winter’s Cabin exceeded our expectations. We had one small issue and the management company was super responsive and came out within 2 hours of the initial call-best service we have ever had at a rental home. We cannot wait to come back for another trip!

Everything was perfect! Stunning views, gorgeous house, fully stocked kitchen, staff were responsive and resolved our only (very minor) issue and not a far drive to either Wolf Creek to ski or to town.

This was a great property and wonderful location to town and Wolfecreek ski area. House was beautiful and was perfect for the four adults. We enjoyed the real wood burning fireplace and hot tub on deck. The team had everything stocked and ready when we arrived and delivered firewood same day for us to enjoy. If looking for a cabin that has amazing views in a great location this is your spot.

We are return guest. The location is perfect for my family of four with adult children. Beautiful drive to Wolf Creek in the morning. The house has everything we need and is very comfortable. Lori and the VIP Team are great! Great communication and always quickly responds if you need something. Looking forward to the next visit.

Staying at the Winters Cabin was a wonderful experience. The communication from booking to checkout was wonderful. The property was even better than described. It was the perfect spot for a girls weekend get away. I highly recommend and would definitely re-book!

We loved this home! Fantastic views from the deck and huge windows. Hot tub in the outdoor deck is phenomenal. Highly recommend!

The pictures do not do this place justice, the views and decor made this a very special place for our summer vacation. The drive to to town is very easy, and we liked the nearby neighborhood fishing pond. It also looks like you can access the river in the neighborhood spot across the highway, but we didn't try that. The furnishings from the doors to the bathrooms decor were unique and well done.
