Rustic Pagosa Lodge

Absolutely love this cabin. Plenty of room for all of the family to have personal space. We have stayed here 2 years in a row over Christmas. The first year with a different real estate company we had a flawless experience. Absolutly perfect. This past visit with the VIP company was ok. Very friendly people and very prompt to call back; however, when we arrived at the house a ceiling fan light in the guest bedroom was dangling over the bed literally hanging by 2 wires. When we arrived we immediately called for help and a representative arrived without any tools to fix it. He said he would be back the next day and never came or called - and never fixed it the entire stay. The Direct TV never worked the entire time we were there either . We called and spoke with them several tiems about this and it was never fixed properly either. We were stuck with Netflix the entire time when the men were angry about missing all of the holiday bowl football games and NFL ..... very frustrating. The company did text about the issues and were very friendly, but at the price we paid for a week's stay we should have basic cable and not worry about a ceiling fan falling on you in the middle of the night.

This is a very beautiful home in Pagosa Springs. The 2 king size beds were so comfortable, we slept great. Very clean, kitchen was stocked nicely. We loved the house. The stairs are steep and I have a bad knee so that was not fun and the master is upstairs & I would like my kids upstairs & me downstairs, just feel better that way but that’s a personal choice. One thing this house could use is air conditioning! We live in Texas & it wasn’t that hot in Pagosa but our 4 days were 90+ and that’s hot to us plus I have hot flashes so an AC in the house not just a portable unit in the bedroom would have made it perfect! There was a bee hive in the edge of the driveway that made me very nervous as I am severely allergic to honey bees but that can’t be helped. We loved the games downstairs and the hot tub! Very nice place.

We had a great time getting together with the family. We enjoyed the pinball machine and when we finally added water to the hot tub ourselves, it worked the next day. We enjoyed the big deck and the swing. There were a few naintenece issues that they have not kept up with that I have not found in other places I have rented. If that hadn't been the case, I would recommend this place although it did seem kind of dark inside and I like bright sunny well lit places.

The Good:The cabin is 3 stories with lots of bedrooms, living spaces, and you don't feel cramped. There were plenty of linens and the cabin felt clean. They left us some snacks which was nice. The grill worked although the propane was out but there was a spare next to the grill. There was plenty of wood for a fire since it was as cold as 20oF and it snowed one day. Water pressure was good and warm for all of us to shower.The Bad:The cabin is very close to neighbors on both sides. I couldn't quite tell that from the photos and I thought we were getting a secluded cabin in the woods. It wasn't horrible but not what I expected. There was food left in the refrigerator and pantry presumably from the last guest. They noted that in their welcome book and said we could use it if we wanted. Just for COVID reasons we didn't but it would've been nice if the opened food (like relish and condiments) had been thrown out. Closed items like popcorn in the pantry we assumed would be fine. There were 3 bathrooms and the one on the bottom floor had a shower that seemed to leak. We didn't use it and it was dripping the whole week. That didn't bother us but it seems like a simple thing to fix. Also, the bottom floor had a smell of cats. It wasn't too strong and a scented candle masked the smell.The Ugly:First, the fees. I was surprised that the fees were about $300 more than the quote that I got on VRBO. I couldn't find details that showed there would be that many fees but considering we needed this place for my daughters birthday I didn't want to argue about it.Second, the sheets. The welcome binder said that they don't clean them between guests. I didn't read that until the second night because we got in at 8 pm, made dinner, lit a fire, and then went to bed a few hours later. So, we probably slept in the sweat and body fluids of someone else. Very gross. Considering we paid ~$300/night they can certainly clean the sheets between guests.

We had a great time, the house was excellent and the hot tub was just what we needed after a long drive.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very nice and fully furnished.

This was a fantastic cabin with all the amenities of home. We loved our stay. Close to everything in Pagosa, and the cabin was extremely nice.

The house was even nicer than the pictures indicated. Large and very clean. The only issue was the spare bedroom pillows and mattress pad were old and stained. Other than that, we loved it and will be back!

A great cabin and time had by all in Pagosa Springs. Loved the extra attention to detail, decoration and entertainment the cabin offered. Every family member just loved our week there.

Wonderful place, house was excellent and fully supplied! If there was a view of the mountains it would have been extra perfect but we loved the quiet and privacy!

Our group of 4 adults, 2 teen and one dog enjoyed the house immensely and had a great week in Pagosa. House is spacious and located in a quiet community. The kitchen is well stocked, which was great since we cooked all our meals at home to avoid covid. When we noticed the grill was out of propane, a text to VIP got a quick response and a full tank was delivered the next morning as we requested. Thank you!

We had a total of 3 families. The house worked out perfect. You are just minutes away from a lake that you can do water sports in

House was perfect for our family. Plenty of room to get some privacy. House was in a great location. Close to town but far enough that we saw plenty of wildlife. Property was clean and well maintained. Stuart and his team did a great job handling our reservation. Jess did a great job answering my questions. We spent our days hiking in the back country and our evenings cooking at home and soothing sore muscles in the hot tub. This was a very enjoyable stay in a very beautiful town.

Excellent de-stressing stay! Large house to spread out, spent much time on porch. You'll love the kitchen! Mgmt attentive to any needs. Fun activities and attractions - Escape Room and Hot Air Balloon ride shouldn't be missed.

This house was so amazing and perfect for our family. The big kitchen was a great place for everyone to gather. The host was amazing and communication was great. Thank you and we will remember this vacation for a lifetime.

We had a great experience at this house and were very impressed with the communication from the property managers. They were ready to assist and answer any questions throughout the week. While we didn't utilize the option, they will even have groceries stocked at the house upon your arrival. Fantastic service!Our group included five adults and three young children, and everyone enjoyed their accommodations. The property was tidy upon arrival, and everything we needed (extra linens, laundry facilities, propane grill, coffee machine, etc.) was available at the property. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the front porch and utilized the pinball machine and ping pong table in the garage regularly. (There is also a nice fire pit in the backyard, but we were unable to utilize it due to the burn ban during our stay.)The house is a quick drive to the restaurants, coffee shop, brewery and grocery store up the road. One of the fishing lakes is within walking distance, as well. The Pagosa Lakes area is a great place to stay.The only potential downside consideration for large groups is the home's proximity in the cul-de-sac to the neighboring properties, which seemed to be only 30-40 feet away on either side. We generated noise complaints from the neighbors with standard family activity on the front porch. It can be challenging to have owner-occupied residences with a vacation rental sandwiched in between, so we understood the issue and did our best to stay quiet. If you have a large group or enjoy being outside later in the evenings, you may want to seek a property with more separation from neighboring properties.

Housed two families with more than enough room. Kitchen was complete with even more than we needed! Fire place stove was amazing, large comfortable rooms. Great location and very clean. Highly recommend

It was all the small details that made this stay enjoyable. The sheets smelled like they had just been washed, the hot tub was already up to temperature when we arrived, the firewood was plentifully stacked and the interior was very clean. During our stay we also met the neighbors who were very kind, as we initiated the contact. We came up to snowboard as a family and found plenty of room for all of our gear and people. The kitchen was wonderfully outfitted with ample pots/pans to cook anything. Truly a great place to stay for a large group. Top of our list if we visit Pagosa Springs next year!

Best VRBO Stay yet

Our group of 12 rented this place for a week of skiing and we couldn’t have been happier. Everything was just as advertised and the property manager was extremely easy to get ahold of and helpful. We arrived in Pagosa 2.5 hours earlier than check in and even allowed us to check in early which was extremely nice. Hot tub was great, Ping Pong table was also nice. The beds, baths, kitchen and everything was clean and nice. Everything was very nice. We didn’t have one complaint. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Pagosa Springs.

Very nice, roomy log house....furnished with everything anyone could need. In a quiet, secluded neighborhood that’s close to everything. Huge wrap around deck with sitting areas, hot tub and BBQ grill . Management(Stuart and Jessica) was incredibly accommodating and helpful.

Cleanest I ever stayed

Amazing location, massive porch, beautiful inside and out!We visit Colorado from out of state annually and this was our first time to Pagosa Springs. My wife and I have decided Pagosa is now our favorite location. The beauty of the area, the easy and simplicity to get there, and the laid back comfortable feel of the town made us feel in place while visiting. Now for our accommodations. This house is nothing short of incredible. The house feels very large yet still bearing an "I'm Home" experience. The beds were extremely comfortable, the location was so quite and peaceful, and the grocery store and great restaurants are literally at the entry to the neighborhood. We had everything we needed and more! The kids loved the Ping Pong Table, Pinball Machine, the awesome yard to run around, and the porch swings. Oh yeah, on the subject of the porch, it's massive. We spent as much time on the porch as we did inside the house. So incredibly accommodating to our entire party staying within the house, as well as a family we were traveling with staying at a different property nearby. They would come over for the cookouts that were easily accommodated by the enormous grill provided as well. Oh, and there is also a nice hot tub on the patio to boot. The WiFi worked flawlessly also, which is sometimes forgotten but a very nice perk. Overall we could not have asked for a better house to spend this year's trip to Colorado. I expect this house and Pagosa Springs will be a new annual destination.

This is a lovely home nestled in the pines of rural Pagosa. It has the classic cabin feel with all the amenities of the 21st century. We lacked for nothing. There was even air-conditioning for the upstairs bedrooms!Stuart, the area property manager, did a fabulous job of keeping us supplied with the few household items we ran short of during our stay.In short, this is a great place to vacation: a beautiful VRBO home and an attentive property manager. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

Where to begin... Pet friendly luxury place with tons of beds. Well stocked kitchen, surround sound, heated floor, gorgeous master bathroom with decked out shower, spacious living area, large hot tub, garage access for easy in and out in bad weather, this place really has it all. Owners are great to work with, and very responsive. We didn't have a single need that wasn't addressed quickly. Easy access to downtown Pagosa, grocery store, not far from Durango or Wolf Creek Pass. Lots to do in any season in this area and this is a perfect home base. Enjoy the deer in the morning and evening out front, too! Great place to just venture out and hike. Will be back for sure...

Had a great time and this house was almost like home. The kids had more room than they knew what to do with. The hot tub was great and the kids loved the swing on the porch. Short trip to mountains and to town. Deer in the yard every morning and evening was pretty cool thing for the kids to see.

Loved the look feel and location of this cabin. Close enough to town but still gives that cabin in the mountain overall feeling.

Loved the cabin! It was PERFECT for our large family, and stunning during the snow. We had plenty of room to spread out, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the management was more than accommodating. Can’t say enough about this place!

We have stayed in this cabin 3 times now and it never disappoints. It has become a home away from home to our kiddos. Always clean, lots of space, and a hot tub that is fun as well.

We gathered (7 of us) to celebrate a 50th anniversary. There were 2-72 year olds, 3-40+ year olds and 2-12 yr olds. There was so much room for all of us! The pin ball machine was quite a hit. We really enjoyed the wrap around porch a lot. We were back and forth and in and out of the place but it was so conveniently located near all of our fun! Lots of clean towels and dishes. Lots of places to sleep with privacy and comfort. Thanks so much for helping us celebrate this special occasion. And thanks for the welcome basket. It was nibbled on the whole week.

Log cabin style home beautifully done and in great shape is decorated to fit the home. Home was very clean with all needs met. Lori was excellent. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back.

We had a wonderful trip to ski at Wolf Creek. The home we stayed in was awesome, it was in a quiet neighborhood very comfortable, plenty of room for the 8 adults. The management company was very helpful with anything we came across (which wasn't much). It took us a bit to figure out the heating system for the home, maybe a little instructions for us that don't rely on floor heating systems would be nice. Great vacation!

Stay was great- wish the hot tub would have worked and better lighting inside but we loved the location and amount of room for our family. Definitely could use some upgrades in kitchen ware and fix items that aren't working well (dryer, stove, pinball machine and internet).

The cabin was in a great area, nice and quiet close enough though for a drive to walk around town. The beds were amazing very comfortable. There were plenty of lakes to choose from to go fishing and hiking around. We winded down in the hot tub,great. Thanks for a great getaway will try to go back soon.

This beautiful mountain home exceeded our expectations. The kitchen had a lot of dishes and condiments which was nice not having to buy extra things. The family loved the hot tub and the views were awesome. The pictures don’t do the cabin justice. The beds were extremely comfortable! We loved our stay there!!!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. It was the perfect size for the seven of us. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking or playing golf. Although there were a few hiccups along the way , the staff quickly addressed our concerns . We will definitely return for another visit in the future.

We had our annual family vacation at the Log home, and it was fantastic. Great location, the hot tub was a hit along with the beautiful home with lots of room to spare for adults and kids.
