Relaxing Bear

It was a nice house, convenient location, the best management company from start to finish. My only comment is that the 2nd floor has little to no air flow. We stayed in August with highs in the 90s, and the A/C upstairs seemed non-existent. We ended up purchasing portable fans. Lucky for us, our children didn't complain and were able to sleep through the heat.

Stayed with 8 people for 5 days in Dec. 2021. The house was beautiful but had significant challenges with the heat and water not being fully functional when we arrived. However, the overall stay was good. The management company was very quick to try to address the issues as fast as they could. Lori was terrific at responding day and night due to the unique challenges. So, based on how they handled the situation, we give it a 5. The home is beautiful (even better than the photos) and in a great location near grocery and some restaurants. The homeowners have done a great job decorating and making sure the kitchen appliances and cookware were perfect to allow meal making easy and enjoyable The TV room upstairs is HUGE and the kids loved watching movies after skiing. One recommendation - the heating element for the dryer does not work properly - it took 1.5 hours to dry a very small load of ski clothes which was crazy and extremely frustrating. We loved this house, it was clean, had lots of games, and all the kitchen supplies we could possibly need. Our kids loved the movie room. We had a great stay!

We had a great weekend in this home. You can walk to Pagosa Brewing and stores from the house. The view from the living room is beautiful. We couldn't find the wine opener anywhere and VIP brought one over within 5 minutes of us sending the text! Great service. If you are looking for a house with a roaring fire this isn't it. It's a small gas flame, but it doea give off good heat. We did the private chef dinner through VIP and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend. The communication via email and texts prior to our visit and texts during our visit was excellent.

Relaxing Bear was beautiful and spacious on the inside. The mountain view was breathtaking. We took full advantage of the hot tub after a full day on the slopes. Kitchen was fully equipped even with extra seasonings in the cabinet, this cook appreciates that! Wonderful stay for our family!

Why location twice? First, because it was literally within walking distance of our favorite places to eat. Second, because its a place you never want to leave. Great ambiance; spent each morning in the hot tub, each afternoon relaxing in the great room, and each night in the super cute movie room. Shout out to Lori for being responsive, and shout out to those managing the house for it was kept clean and welcoming.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful, clean, and spacious home with the most ideal location. We were nervous about having Christmas away from our home in Texas, but we felt right at home at Relaxing Bear. We will be back for sure.

Everything about Relaxing Bear and VIP Services made for the perfect vacation. The house is perfect for larger groups, you have space to get some peace but there is also plenty of room for everyone to relax together. Bonus is the movie room! The kitchen has everything you could possible need. Perfect location, with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. We loved walking the dogs to Higher Grounds for coffee and breakfast in the morning. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. In fact, we are looking to return for some snow!

Our experience was wonderful, especially with the great location! The kitchen is well stocked with all the cookware needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own spaced if needed and the movie room is great for binge watching whatever series you like!A previous review stated that the hot water system is an "on demand" type system, that took a little getting used to but no issues with it and the master bath tub does have a pretty big step to get in and out, again not an issue for us.Having garage access for our vehicle was great on check out day when Pagosa got 11" of snow, we packed up the car inside the garage, no brushing off snow, and checked out with ease.Absolutely would book it again!

The house was in great condition in a very convenient location. Well appointed mountain home with good views. The staff was responsive and attentive while providing nice little touches for our stay. This home met our expectations and highly recommend it for your stay in the Pagosa Springs area.

This was an amazing trip. The house is even better in person. Such a cozy home. The customer service was top notch.We never had to worry about a thing. Communication was perfect! Everything was taken care of. The trip couldn't have gone any better.

This is a great location in uptown near shopping and restaurants. It also has a great view of the northern mountains.
