Lazy Bear Cabin

rented. First, we get a text 2 hours before for our arrival (after we have driven 16 hours) telling us about “minor” construction that will be happening at the home during our stay - I don’t call cement mixers, concrete columns and decking as minor construction. We could not even use the front part of the house/yard. The construction materials also took up 1/2 of the driveway space. Second, there were plumbing issues from the time we arrived. We had 9 people on the house without a properly flushing toilet in the entire house. Even after we had to arrange for a plumber the toilets still didn’t flush properly. Third, there were not enough towels - there were only 3 washcloths in the entire house. There were only 6 bath towels for the entire house/stay. Fourth, the deck railing was missing from the end of the deck by the grill and the outside railing around the edge was about to fall off. One of the main reasons we picked the house was due to the front deck area and the front outdoor space and we couldn’t use it due to construction and to safety issues. Finally the outside dumpster was absolutely packed full of garbage when we arrived. We couldn’t even put a bag of trash in it. We had to call to get someone to take away some of the trash. Needless to say, we were disappointed with the accommodations. Thankfully Pagosa Springs and the surrounding areas made our time away from the house worth the trip.

The property was great, it accommodated our party of 9 and well located to Pagosa Springs. I was hoping it was a little more isolated.

The property was nice and clean, obviously recently renovated. Service was very good. Someone was available via text for any issues we had. The whole family was very comfortable.

Great hot tub. No views and kitchen too small for over one cook. 35-40 minutes to Wolf creek.

This house was perfect for our Spring Break ski trip with our grown kids and spouses!! We had plenty of room for all of us. Although the kitchen was tight, we were able to prepare all of our meals and all gather around the large dining table for dinner each night.

The cabin was very clean and they thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. It was a very short drive into town and we never had any issues of getting into town. They had stocked the cabin with food and even had a Christmas tree up and decorated for us. What a thoughtful surprise, especially since we had 3 children with us.

This is a positively fantastic little cabin within walking distance of a mountain lake and furnished specifically with children in mind.

Rental process was easy, rental company was professional, communicated well, answered every question in a timely manner. Property itself was as described, clean and spacious. It was a very pleasant stay.

We loved the cabin and had a terrific stay! The upstairs can get warm and if we had any criticism it would be to install an ac unit or large ceiling fan in the living room upstairs, as it can get hot up there. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We used the grill one night with friends and enjoyed the large dining table. The home would also benefit greatly from a fenced in yard for all the guests who bring dogs. The area is so beautiful and some new grass could be planted and a wood fence installed to give the property an almost perfect charm! Our dogs loved the downstairs (as we did) because it was so cozy and cool! We spent most of our time downstairs. Overall, a great experience. Communication from the management was excellent and appreciated. If the owners would build a fence for all the doggie guest to do their business outside and feel safe, as well as install a ceiling fan or ac unit upstairs, we won’t hesitate to stay here again!

Had an amazing time at this super cute cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable. Loved all the cabin themed decor and it seemed spacious for all the family to feel comfortable for a few days. We also loved how close it was to all of the lakes and how quiet and peaceful the area was.

Very clean and spaciously cozy. Fully stocked and excellent communication with the property manager. Highly recommend.

Plenty of space for the entire family... convenient location

We used it as a weekend getaway location and lived the house. It's quite big, beautiful, comfy furniture, well equipped kitchen, clean and owners are exceptionally responsive. Kids loved the large bunk bed and huge TV downstairs.We would absolutely come back again.

Great house for our family to enjoy Colorado. Neighborhood good for biking, fishing and paddle sports.

The house is fantastic! The rooms are spacious, and the game room is a wonderful area to play games, watch TV, or just visit on the comfortable couch and chairs. The cleanliness was impeccable and the kitchen was fully stocked, from a blender to a vegetable peeler. The lake is a short walk, and we enjoyed fishing, paddle boarding, and watching the beautiful sunset at the water. The neighborhood is very quiet and it is a short drive to several restaurants and the grocery store. This is definitely a property we will rent again!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Bear Cabin. Extremely clean, quite and plenty of parking for our trailers and side by sides. The location is perfect for getting into town, taking walks, or fishing on the lake.

This was our first time exploring southern Colorado and we were not disappointed! Lazy Bear Cabin was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our stay. The location was excellent and provided easy access to ATV rentals (highly recommend Outback ATV Rental), hiking (4 Mile Falls ��), restaurants, and the hot springs. VIP Co Inc had everything in great shape for us, and check in & out were easy and unobtrusive. I highly recommend them.

The house was perfect! I liked the hands on help and text messages from the rental property.The place was nice and just right for my sister and her family and my family also.

The cabin is exactly as advertised! Very room and great location-just minutes from town! The kitchen had everything that we needed. Excellent price for the size of the cabin! IF I was to change something it would be to have a King size bed in one of the down stairs bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bear Cabin and would like to bring our family the next time we visit Pagosa Springs!

Our hotel canceled the day before our trip and we were lucky to snag this cabin last minute.What a game changer! We are ruined now - nothing less than this will do in the future. The kitchen was well stocked, there is a lake nearby that made for perfect morning walks. We saw deer, foxes and many types of birds. From the front deck, we watched hot air balloons in the sunrise. Beds were comfortable, no kids had to sleep on couches (although I napped on the living room couch and it was the best!) and there were plenty of bathrooms for our crew. The house stayed cool during the day, and we really enjoyed the wood burning stove at night. I wouldn't change a thing!
