Frolicking Deer Hideaway

Still waiting for the 300$ deposit. We left that place spotless. Had trash in a big trash can left over from previous guests. This was the first thing I saw upon entering the house. Why am I paying a cleaning fee again?

The home looked to have been recently renovated. Property management quickly took care of small concerns. Great, private location that is close to grocery store and convenient store.

We've been staying in Pagosa for years and rented a ton of homes through VIP. We'd rank this one somewhere in the middle. Its beautiful and on a great piece of property with a mountain view. Huge windows. The beds are comfortable, the game room is cool and the internet is fast and reliable. Kitchen is large and can accommodate a huge group and all the cooking that goes with it. Its very homey and comfortable. A few suggestions though. First, rearrange the family room to put a big TV on one wall and a sectional or something around it - small TV and tough to watch comfortably with a big family the way its arranged. Second, there is a woodpecker problem, every morning pounding away at the deck or siding. Third, we bought dishes at walmart as well as glasses. $3K a week for a house should not have all plastic plates and cups. Perhaps replace all the plastic, we spent $50 and got 8 place settings. The instruction book needs to be updated, trash day is not Wednesday its Thursday and the home has no hot tub so the instructions are moot. We also think they need new pots and pans, theirs are pretty old. There is no remote for the fireplace so we had to operate it from underneath the grate. All in, there are nicer properties but this one is huge and in a great spot. A little attention to a few details would go a long way to making this home stellar.

Great property and location. Amazing home with picturesque views out the wall of windows. Even nicer than the pics indicated. Plan to return and stay there again. Great responsive management team. We skied and relaxed at the hot springs after. Awesome kitchen for cooking large meals and a Walmart nearby, as well as other grocery options. Perfect home base for our family trip.

The cabin was a great set up for us and our group. We had 5 Adults (2 Couples) and 2 teens. There were plenty of bathrooms for everyone so we weren't all on top of each other getting ready, so that was really nice. The teens enjoyed spending time in the basement playing games and having a separate area. Probably our favorite place that we've stayed in Pagosa and we have stayed at a lot of places. Management company reached out several times before our trip to verify things and make sure we didn't need anything. We loved this cabin. We would absolutely rent again.

Adding to my review- I think one thing worth mentioning is the amazing communication with the property management. We added a day to our stay as we were having so much fun- and it was seamless. From check in to check out time I was able to reach someone and get a response literally within 10 minutes- even over the weekend.

Check in is very easy and cabin is gorgeous! There was plenty of room for our family and a huge kitchen for gathering. The cabin was decorated for Christmas, which we found to be a nice surprise. The rooms are large and comfortable with plenty of bathrooms, so there never was any waiting for the bathrooms. The game room is a blast! The cabin is close to downtown and an easy drive to Wolf Creek Ski resort. 100% recommend and will be returning for another time!
