Dutton Dream

Very nice house and nice weekend, but pretty disappointed we didn’t receive our 300.00 deposit back we left property pretty much as we found it if not a little better. Don’t know if any reason we didn’t get it back

The area was amazing. Fly fishing guides were the highlight to my families vacation. The rental was fair. The neighbors were very noisy with doing constant construction to their patio area. The temperatures were very hot and the rental did not have AC so that took some time to adjust. The jacuzzi was broken and that was a big disappointment. Overall the stay was good but the rental property was fair at best.

We booked this property at the literal last minute. It was available and that's why we stayed there so I can not be too critical. There are a few things to note: 1. The hot tub is under the porch, it is dark and not well lit. 2. The stove has one burner that works well, the others may take 30 minutes to heat a pot of water. 3.Every single light fixture had at least one light bulb out, several had more than 1 out. 4. The carpet needs a good cleaning, its a dog friendly home so there was quite a bit of dog hair everywhere. 5. If you stay in the downstairs bedroom - do not put your kids in the room above or you will here every single footstep ! 6. Bed linens were dated. 7. Couch was well used. Highlights: 1. Great location 2. Nice subdivision 3. great downstairs area for kiddos 4. great fireplace 5. a cute snack bucket was provided 6. property management company was very informativeTake aways: The property could use some love and maintenance, but it is a nice place.

Beautiful property and plenty of snow! We really enjoyed the hot tub and view off the back porch. We did experience a couple issues such as the stove and oven did not work, which made it very difficult to cook. They did give us a hot plate and toaster oven but these were inadequate. Also water began to backup in the kitchen sink, shower, and dishwasher.

Nice cabin. Hot tub amazing. Sofa was worn out some. In a neighborhood so not secluded at all. It is a quiet place but can see.houses all around you. Was a nice trip

So much to love about this place! The floorplan was perfect for us and out 2 daughters and their young families. My husband and I had the master, 2 daughters and husbands each had a separate bedroom upstairs and a bathroom they shared and the entire basement was great for the 3 young grandchildren! Love that we were able to bring out dogs and enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the beautiful balcony every day-watching the beautiful deer. The only drawback was that there was a neighbor that complained about us being too loud. Mind you, we had hired a private chef to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and were on patio singing happy birthday as he blew out his candles. This was all before 8:30 pm! After that, I worried we were too loud every time we were on the patio and we are not party animals by any means-but do enjoy spending time outside. Would still go back-but wish neighbors were a little more accommodating.

Good stay overall. It was extremely hot in Pagosa Springs during our stay 90 degrees and higher and the house did not have air condition. Not that much of a problem however. The jacuzzi was only working partially throughout our entire stay which was a bummer.

Rented the property over the Christmas holiday, the scenery and view off the back porch were straight out of a holiday card. The house is well maintained and comfortable. Good communication and answered all questions quickly. Had an issue with the wrong door code, but that was sorted quickly. If you do come during the winter, I recommend either 4wd or tire chains. The road is not necessarily plowed consistently, and my dads 2wd truck got stuck. The neighbors are awesome and were really helpful.

The home was beautiful. The stove did not work, but we were able to still cook with the toaster oven and hot plate provided.We did have an issue when we left. We had parked in the garage and the drive iced over with the new snow. We had to ask the neighbor to tow out one of our vehicles. The neighbor said this happens often. I do not want the neighbors to be inconvenienced, so maybe make the garage off limits during the winter.

The Dutton Dream in Pagosa Springs, Colorado was perfect for our family getaway this December. We saw plenty of snow and the garage was an added plus.With covid and all the restrictions, we enjoyed cooking all our meals on site.

This location is a 10m drive from downtown pagosa springs. We really enjoyed walks around the neighborhood and eating meals/playing games out on the deck. The basement is relatively smelly due to the trash in the garage but we didn’t have anyone staying down there so it was much of a big deal for us. Great place with our 2 dogs.

We loved our stay. The cabin was perfect for our group of 6 adults & 4 kids. The kitchen was nice to cook in and the hot tub was great after a day on the mountain.

Clean, well stocked and comfortable cabin. Two small families (2 kids each) fit perfectly. Nice hot tub with a great view.

We stayed here for two weeks. Stuart, the property manager, was so helpful and friendly. He checked in upon our arrival and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The house had plenty of room for all of us (4 adults and 2 kids) and the kids loved the game room with bunk beds. My favorite part of the house was the back porch. It felt very private and we all enjoyed the green belt it overlooked. We saw deer in the green belt every day. Location was great too as it was close to downtown Pagosa yet felt more remote. Overall, we had a great time!

Very relaxing weekend with the family. We spent the mornings and evenings relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the views from the deck. The house is very comfortable and is stocked with everything you could need. We will be back!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Even though it is located in a neighborhood it provided privacy & quiet. Sitting in the swing on the back deck drinking our morning coffee & watching the wildlife was wonderful. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We look forward to coming back. Gig’em Aggies! (Loved the basement!)

Dutton Dream was very spacious, clean and had just about everything we would need. Loved all the condiments in the frig. Games and puzzles for adults and kid alike. Quiet neighborhood, lots of deer, close to grocery store. Easy to get to from highway if you don't follow GPS. Questions were answered quickly and liked the book with all the instructions. I would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was everything we needed and the hosts took great care of us. They even came and shoveled the snow in the driveway.

The Dutton dream was everything we expected and more. We had a blast sitting by the fire and in the hot tub. Would definitely recommend and book again!

Our stay was everything we hoped for and then some! The home had everything we needed plus many extras that we don’t usually find at other rentals. We weren’t even out of the driveway yet on our last day and all we could talk about was how soon could we return! Thank you, again for all the wonderful memories!

It was our first time visiting Pagosa Springs and we had great time .Lake is close by for fishing and kayaking. We enjoyed the stay and hospitality and the place we rented .

We really enjoyed our stay at Dutton Dream! Lots of space, great hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, close to everything, but far enough away to get that country feel. Great communication with the owners and VIP Services. I can’t imagine a better place to stay. We will be back!!!

The cabin was super clean. The hot tub was great! We loved the basement.

A great property to come and enjoy time away. The scenery is gorgeous, deer everywhere you look. The property was maintained very well and has just about everything you need. We went kayaking on Lake Forest... Then fishing,swimming, checked out a little waterfall at Echo Canyon Reservoir. Property managers Lori and Stuart went above and beyond to get us anything we needed as well as provide helpful information about the local area. Only suggestion we have is to add more details about private lakes vs public in surrounding areas as there are fees associated with some of them.

This was a very nice cabin to get away and escape for a few days.

What a great get away location. We had deer in the yard almost every morning, place sleeps 8 to 10 comfortably. Great neighbors, beautiful scenery, just what our family needed.

We had 5 people and we were very comfortable here. The kids hung out in the basement and we all loved the hot tub. The neighborhood was wooded and peaceful. House, deck and hot tub felt very private as there were no neighbors directly behind or visible to either side from the deck. Would definitely stay here again.

Not only was this house beautiful and everything it said it would be in the listing, but the management company was incredibly communicative and helpful. There was a discrepancy between the check in time listed on the VRBO site and the info sent by the management company, but a quick series of texts cleared everything up. From then on the management company was super helpful and the house was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed!

It was a great time! Adequate kitchen supplies, clean, and overall everything we wanted it to be!

Cabin was great! Cozy and warm. Wildlife everywhere! Mule deer just hanging out in the backyard. Great for a little getaway or hunting trip. Would recommend and will go back again!

Loved the house, would definitely stay here again. Great location although not really secluded- in a neighborhood. But very clean and comfortable.Enjoyed Sitting on the back porch in the mornings watching the deer.Really loved Pagosa Springs, close to lots of trails and enjoyed the springs. Love the small time/old town feel- not commercially at all. Enjoyed the 100 year old theater in town. Had a blast renting ATV’s from Outback Mountain and going up into the San Juan Forest on the trails. I recommend this nice quiet house. Cabin-nie feel and comfort.

Property was great, clean had everything we needed including the perfect deck to enjoy coffee every morning and watch the deer and fawns stroll by. So peaceful and relaxing. Quiet neighborhood close to the grocery, restaurants and most importantly fishing:). Exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Excellent stat

If you have a large family this is the perfect place to stay! We had eight people and the Dutton Dream was very comfortable. The spa was a great way to end a day of adventure. Beds were comfortable and the blowup mattress was helpful .Stuart and Jessica were welcoming and helpful.There were numerous trails near by. We enjoyed all that Pagosa had to offer.We hope to return!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this cabin and had plenty of room. It could easily accommodate more guests. It was well maintained and clean up our arrival. Our kids loved the downstairs game room. We enjoyed watching a herd of deer walk through the yard as we drank our morning coffee on the deck. The cabin is convenient to many restaurants and stores. Stuart was great about answering questions and even giving restaurant suggestions.

Overall this home was magical. Between the little love amenities, to the hot tub, you couldn’t ask for anything better. Very clean and perfect for the family to enjoy Christmas in the snowy love of CO. Also would like to say, anytime I had questions or concerns, I would get prompt answers and that truly helped during COVID times.

Great house.

Great house, loved the surroundings, felt like we were in the woods. Clean and nicely stocked with extras. We wish we had booked for longer. Dog friendly, great for us since we travel with pets. Laurie was awesome, responded quickly when I needed anything.

Great cabin and area to spend a few days. It snowed over a foot while we were there and they plowed the driveway. The cabin itself is beautifully built and in particular the downstairs decorations are awesome!

We had a great time, perfect spot and secluded enough. All amenities were great except for the stove. It took longer to cook but we managed. We are already making plans to return. Loved Pagosa Springs!

Great house in a convenient location with comfortable floor plan

We did a weekend getaway with them and it was amazing. They were very accommodating to us and regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Very highly recommend them and the cabin for future vacations.

We Stayed for a weekend and was very easy to be in contact with the Property Managers and to learn about the area and what the town had to offer. The house was clean and felt very homey. We would recommend this to our family and friends.

Dutton Dream was a comfortable vacation home, clean, safe and as described. The VIP team was great and immediately responsive to any needs. Loved the deck and watching for deer. Made friends with a crow family. Would recommend for your vacation.

This cabin is wonderful. We both loved the layout, the furnishings, and the cleanliness. The bed in the master was very comfortable albeit we froze the first night we were there. Plenty of heavy blankets available but we got in around 7:00 p.m. and it took a while for the place to heat up. This cabin is in a neighborhood and the closest house is less than 30 feet away. That said, it is a quiet area and there are plenty of trees around to give you that " out in the woods" feel. Did I mention the hot tub? It's under the deck and very secluded from the homes on either side. If you get tired of the hot springs in town this is a great option. We will return to Pagosa in the spring and will rent this cabin if it's available.
