Horse Back Riding

There is no better way to experience the great outdoors than from the back of horse. The two and three hour rides meander along side the Weminuche River riding the old cattle range of John Toner, the first permanent homesteader in the Upper Piedra. Half and all day rides are high mountain rides on the Weminuche Trail. All rides depart from the Toner Ranch, one of the few original working cattle ranches still in operation. To enhance the ride we make every effort to take families, couples, or specific groups by themselves on the trail rides.

Pagosa Escape Zone

3 different themed puzzle rooms to choose from where you and your group have 60 minutes to decipher codes, find clues and solve puzzles in order to figure your way out of the room before time runs out…CAN YOU ESCAPE???

We are taking extreme caution during this time and are practicing all safe social distancing policies and procedures. We will be taking temperatures, masks are mandatory to be worn during participation and we require everyone to thoroughly sanitize hands on arrival. All of our rooms are set to PRIVATE bookings so groups will not be paired with strangers. Groups of 2-8 participants are welcome.

Balloon Adventures

For once, a fantasy can become a reality! You have a unique opportunity to "break the earthly bonds of gravity," and if you've been dreaming about flying--try this!

As you gently ascend, the earth seems to fall away below you, revealing hidden canyons and valleys. You may feel yourself becoming a part of Mother Nature while riding the peaceful breezes with the red-tailed hawks, the ospreys and the majestic bald eagles. Wildlife is abundant, and we watch for deer, elk, turkeys and other forest creatures as we fly over Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Fishing in Pagosa Springs

Fishing is fantastic in Pagosa Springs. The area has many great lakes, streams and rivers. Fishing is always a great adventure whether your sitting on the shore of the lake, sitting on the ice, or walking along a stream. One of our lakes holds the record in Colorado for large mouth bass. Some of our streams hold beautiful native trout species not seen in many places.

In the summer, we can arrange guides to show you the best time. In the winter, we have ice fishing packages that are sure to make for a great day.

If you are renting one of many homes in the Pagosa Lakes Area (PLPOA), we can arrange to have your fishing permits ready in your home when you arrive. We do not provide that service to State Fishing Licenses.

4W4 Jeep Rentals

There are many ways to enjoy Pagosa Springs, but none so fun and scenic filled than by exploring our back roads in a four wheel drive jeep.  Whether you are an amateur or experienced driver, there are plenty of roads to meet your needs.

We can arrange for daily or up to weekly rentals. If you are unsure about our snowey roads, thee winter is a perfect time to rent. If you are flying in to our local airport, let us arrange the Jeep and pick you up at your plane.

There are not many Jeeps available and they do rent out fast during busy times. We highly recommend an early reservation to make sure your vacation is perfect.

Kayak, Bike and Stand Up Paddle Board Rentals

The lakes in our town are perfect for all kinds of recreation. Your family and friends will enjoy a day on the lakes in one of our kayaks and stand up paddle boards, (SUPs). We offer daily and up to weekly rentals.

Bikes, both standard and electric, will give you hours of fun on the many bike paths or miles of trails nearby.

We can arrange your rental and provide delivery if you wish. Add one of our box lunches and your day will be perfect!

White Water Rafting

When you are in rafting country, you need to go rafting!  Experience the thrill of rushing water and take a chance of seeing our elk, deer, bear and maybe even a bald eagle. Trips vary in length. Space is limited and is dependant on the water levels.

Cumbres & Toltec Historic Train Ride

Experience mountain travel the way adventurist travelers did over a hundred years ago. Travel through lush valleys, steep inclines, tunnels and get to the highest elevation by train in America. The colors are amazing, the wildlife is all around. It's a great way to relax and see some of the best sites around. Standard and Dinner trips available. Book early.
